Figurative artist Jon Jones pays homage to heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath in this striking group portrait. This piece was created to mark the band’s homecoming, and final, concert in Birmingham in 2025, just weeks before the death of their legendary frontman Ozzy Osbourne.
Sharon Osbourne personally selected this image of the band from the early 1970s for Jones to recreate. In the piece we see Ozzy, alongside Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, at the start of their genre-defining rise to global fame.
Considered the ‘original’ heavy metal band by many, ‘Changes’ captures the group’s raw energy, rebellious spirit and deeply embedded legacy in global music culture.
The gritty, urban style of Jon Jones’ art is reflective of the origin story of Black Sabbath, which saw these four young men looking to escape a life of factory work through music in 1960s Birmingham. But it was the second city’s industrial core that wound up birthing an entirely new music genre by chance.

For each purchase of 'Changes', Castle Fine Art will donate £100 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s Inspiring Spaces Appeal. The project will use the power of art to create colourful, creative and inspiring spaces within Parkview, its youth mental health inpatient facility based in Moseley, to improve wellbeing and aid recovery.

For all orders of artwork, we advise delivery of up to four weeks from placing your order. Many of our pieces are handmade to order just for you here in the UK. Books and gift vouchers are delivered within 2-3 working days.
Please note that if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
We want you to love your artwork, so we offer a 14-day cooling-off period to view it in your home. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll collect it for free or you can return it to one of our galleries.
For orders outside of the UK, the same applies - please contact us and we can arrange collection of the artwork.

Jon Jones
Figurative artist Jon has enjoyed sell-out success in both the UK and Australia. He has been shortlisted for several prestigious awards, including the BP Portrait Award hosted by the National Portrait Gallery in London. Often depicting celebrities or the Peaky Blinders gang, his haunting portraits are perfect for both traditional and contemporary spaces. A 50-metre mural created from his original paintings is currently on display outside Birmingham's New Street station to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Yes, Castle Fine Art is based in the UK, but we ship internationally. All of our international orders are delivered via DHL.
To ensure a secure transit, every artwork is handled with utmost care. We take precautionary measures by using foam around the piece for added safety during transportation, and then the artwork(s) are packaged in double-walled, reinforced cardboard boxes that offer superior protection. All of this ensures that your artwork arrives safely.
Most artwork orders will need to be professionally mounted and framed before being dispatched, so delivery can take up to four weeks from the date you placed your order, but we do strive to deliver your order as soon as we can.
Books and gift cards are delivered within 2-3 working days. Please note, if multiple artworks are purchased within the same order, they may be delivered separately for efficient delivery.
The majority of our originals and limited editions are hand signed by the artist themselves. On some occasions where we have limited edition sculptures, this is hand written into the mould before production. If you're unsure, please contact us.
